FAQs

is Becoming restoried therapy?

No, not in the clinical sense. There are certainly similarities, however. The processes we use in Becoming Restoried often feel therapeutic to those that engage them. We focus on understanding the richness of the stories of our lives in order to hold ourselves with more compassion and affection. And while we are all highly trained and seasoned facilitators, we are not licensed psychologists or counselors.

How long does the process take?

Our recommendation is to commit to six months. There’s science behind this, about how long it takes to shift a mindset and to realize desired changes in our daily lives. We believe that our combination of coaching, community conversations, and self-reflection hit their sweet spot at about six months—with one year being even better. That said, everyone’s journey is different. You may feel you’ve achieved the changes you wanted after only three months. For others, they may choose to spend a couple of years with us. The longevity of your involvement in Becoming Restoried depends on the goals you set for your growth. We will work through all that with you in our first calls.

what If I don’t get anything out of it?

We are confident that will not happen. However, we know that investing good money in something new is legitimately scary. For many, the risk feels too big. So to help mitigate that, we make this offer to all our members: Give us two months, and if you don’t feel you’ve benefited from being part of the community, we will give you all that money back.

Can I quit anytime?

Of course! There is no commitment, beyond the one you make to yourself. You pay monthly, and you can cancel your membership at any time. That being said, you will receive the most value for your money if you stick with us for a year in order to take advantage of the in-person intensives.

What if I don’t live in the United states?

This is not a problem for us! The community calls and coaching all happen online. So as long as you have access to the internet and a device with Zoom, you will be able to fully participate. If you do not think you can travel to the US for the in-person intensive, then you can sign up for a membership option that does not include the intensive. We can talk through this on a call. You can start the conversation by scheduling a free, 15-minute clarity call.
